Today was my mother's birthday. She was 84. We went out for lunch and had turkey i.e. early Christmas dinner. It was delicious and I am full. Probably until Tuesday night. Omnomnom. My dad was suitably shocked at having to pay £6.00 for a pint of Ruddles and a half a diet Coke. Fortunately, the money came out of their savings box put together from the savings they make on the shopping at ASDA. Yay for wartime spirit.

I have a fat eye, swollen shut and a lump on my forehead again. Grrrr. Anyway, managed to get in to see a doctor this morning who gave me the same tablets as the hospital had and told me to keep an eye on things over the next 24 hours or I may have to be admitted. If it's not one thing it's another. Anyway, I took a tablet straight away and I feel marginally better (probably psychological) though my eye is still shut.

Off out to lunch now. See if I care.

Well that was a marathon! Anyhoo. Here are the random icons I have made to mark the excellent return to form of SHOW with The Bullet in the Brain.

I made the caps myself, but there are some stills and behind the scenes stuff from the Gallery at 206_bones . Thanks are due for those.

I didn't do a video on Sunday as it is a new year so I have changed my ways ;P. So here's one on a Wednesday instead!



I see Gerry Rafferty died, which is sad as it got me thinking about the 70s, when I was at school, then university, then work. What a packed decade that was! Sunderland won the FA Cup for one thing; I went to live in Cardiff, then Hull, then Whitby, then here, although that happened in the early 80s actually. I was working here in the 70s though, so it still counts.

I liked this song, and apparently, I still do.


There we are friends of the online variety. Doesn't matter that I've never met you, this song still stands.

Bonus icons as I'm in vintage mood.

                 

I have had cheese and crackers for lunch Omnomnom. That may sound unappetising, but if I tell you the cheese was Bleu d'Auvergne and Camembert while the crackers were Asda's best quality and were charcoal and sesame and pumpkin seed you may see I was ingesting the food of the gods. Oh lovely.
