We're booked! Or in the process of being booked. April in Boston and New York. Getting excited already.

Today I got my hair cut, cleaned the kitchen and tried not to give in to this cold or whatever it is. I woke up all achy and sore. Hmmm.
Anyway, Pat came up and we booked online, just paid deposit for now and Pat needs to renew her passport but so far we're sorted. Free flight to Heathrow willing, we shall be flying out to Logan on the 11th April.

Listened to a load of old Glenn Miller stuff this morning to sort things out for the History department who are keen to do some sort of nostalgia music thing for Remembrance Day next Friday. I'm still a bit vague on the details but I've got Vera Lynn sorted out and some WW I music too. Had a good singalong with the Andrews Sisters but I hope we don't have to do the jitterbug or anything. Joani wants us to dress up. Why do the English department have to be so enthusiastic?

Going to Seahouses on Thursday for another bash at the pub quiz. I wonder if we'll win this time? I also have to go to the bank to sort insurance and to the shops for a manual kitchen cutter for my mother. There are alectric ones available but she doesn't trust them. So, Metrocentre for me tomorrow for the first time this year I think. No doubt they will have the Christmas decorations up already. Far too soon if you ask me.

Holidays. I'm ready for them Wheeeeeeeeeeeee! 6 weeks and 1 day of rest of which I will take full advantage. More later when my feet stop throbbing and distracting me.

I've reposted this because the bugger wouldn't do what I wanted it to do. It's just the same as whatever you managed to see that I couldn't.
Well these are for  [info]sexymermaid and if I can remember the name of the building with the mosaic ceiling and the bronze doors outside the Duomo I will update.
These are from our last holiday in Italy, in Florence which is a lovely small city full of churches, history and art.
e.t.a. It was the Baptistry and why didn't I remember you liked mosaics? Would love to see images of your table and I loved the turquoise jewellery, which technically is my birthstone though I don't like it cos it's not shiny enough.
Firenze )
Hope you like.

I'm back! Haven't unpacked or even got the bag out of the car yet but I'm back. Rome was great though, thanks to Easter crowds like Whoa, we couldn't get into the Sistine chapel or St Peter's basilica. Still, plenty else to see and take photos of, some of which I will post if I can figure out how to do it. More later, maybe much later 'cos I got to get caught up before I spam you like crazeee!
