Today was my mother's birthday. She was 84. We went out for lunch and had turkey i.e. early Christmas dinner. It was delicious and I am full. Probably until Tuesday night. Omnomnom. My dad was suitably shocked at having to pay £6.00 for a pint of Ruddles and a half a diet Coke. Fortunately, the money came out of their savings box put together from the savings they make on the shopping at ASDA. Yay for wartime spirit.

LOL I am in experimenty mode this week so all sorts of weirdness may ensue.

I must have had a senior moment because when I checked the challenges were 7.02 and Maggot in the Meathead. Already made and posted for hot dog. Totally wrong season for the other (+ too much Hannah) Clearly I missed out the "I'll not bother with those" step in my thought process and went straight to "I'll make those 7.03 ones" and didn't add "instead".

Fab time. We went to the posh hotel where we always go for family do's (looks wrong without apostrophe): Ramside Hall (http://www.ramsidehallhotel.co.uk/). The Carvery is lovely - £8.95 all you can eat.

That's my plan as I had to be up at dark o'clock this morning to take the car to the garage for a safety recall thingy. So I've been up 16 hours!!! Flagging now.

So many Sweets moments this season already. I may have to do a whole gaggle of them. He has some hilarious interesting expressions Strong drink will get me through it.

Yes, all these Sweets moments to annoy delight us. But as you've narrowly avoided disaster with safety recall thingy I don't think you should risk your health by being driven to drink ;)

Now I will go and giggle at your icon of Booth playing with a Barbie doll (#7, not the Baghdad variety!) Forgive me, 13 hours plus days with 4-5H sleep in between are starting to get to me.

I avoided a Sweets-fest all day by dint of doing other things that I now can't remember. Oh yes, I did my membership application for next year's cricket season and ran to the post box to send it. Then it rained like a raining thing and was dark by 3 o clock. Not such a thrilling day then.
