I made these because I thought they were the subject of a challenge. When I checked, they weren't. So, waste not want not:

Today was my mother's birthday. She was 84. We went out for lunch and had turkey i.e. early Christmas dinner. It was delicious and I am full. Probably until Tuesday night. Omnomnom. My dad was suitably shocked at having to pay £6.00 for a pint of Ruddles and a half a diet Coke. Fortunately, the money came out of their savings box put together from the savings they make on the shopping at ASDA. Yay for wartime spirit.

Date: 2011-11-28 07:55 pm (UTC)Happy birthday to your Mum!! (Had to ask my Pommy hubby what a pint of Ruddles was - LOL! He said he'd be happy to pay six quid just for the pint if he could get it over here!)

Date: 2011-11-28 09:57 pm (UTC)I must have had a senior moment because when I checked the challenges were 7.02 and Maggot in the Meathead. Already made and posted for hot dog. Totally wrong season for the other (+ too much Hannah) Clearly I missed out the "I'll not bother with those" step in my thought process and went straight to "I'll make those 7.03 ones" and didn't add "instead".
Glad you liked!

Date: 2011-11-28 10:00 pm (UTC)Ah yes I've entered that one - it was tough gazing upon Hannah again. Ick.
Also meant to say glad you had a nice time with your mother - sounds fab!

Date: 2011-11-29 08:17 pm (UTC)Yes, all these Sweets moments to
annoydelight us. But as you've narrowly avoided disaster with safety recall thingy I don't think you should risk your health by being driven to drink ;)Now I will go and giggle at your icon of Booth playing with a Barbie doll (#7, not the Baghdad variety!) Forgive me, 13 hours plus days with 4-5H sleep in between are starting to get to me.

Date: 2011-11-29 08:27 pm (UTC)I avoided a Sweets-fest all day by dint of doing other things that I now can't remember. Oh yes, I did my membership application for next year's cricket season and ran to the post box to send it. Then it rained like a raining thing and was dark by 3 o clock. Not such a thrilling day then.
