Speaking as the Walrus I shall say the time has come. We are not going to talk of many things and certainly not shoes and ships and sealing wax. No it's Booth all the way and launching into Season 5, just before Season 7 finally gets going in 2 weeks time. Squeeeee.

You would think four years down the road, we would know plenty about Agent Booth, but he has been so reticent that that is not the case, and there are some things which have still to be disclosed. Perhaps Season 5 will be the place to find out all there is to know about our enigmatic hero.

I am back baby )

Quite a nice day today, but not very warm.

Cold here. I'm watching the Cheltenham Festival this week which is National Hunt's horse racing highlight and very close to the hearts of the Irish who come over in droves. They had a really successful day yesterday winning 6 of the 7 races. I tipped two winners on Tuesday, but only the one yesterday when there were a  lot of big priced winners.

Let's get most of Season 3 finished. I'll leave the last two episodes until later because I want to look at a specific thing about Booth that got me quite annoyed when I did my rewatch.

LJ is being a complete arse and not allowing rich text posting on my entries. What a pain as I am in need of not having to code the whole entry. LJ Hook is my saviour.

Anyhoo. First here are my banners of victory!!!

Cool huh?

So with Boothiness in mind and my fingers crossed that this doesn't take 6 hours to do in html, let us look at the next two episodes of Season 3 Booth.

Aaaah what a morning! In a good way. Steve Bruce and Niall Quinn (my uber-hero) were on Goals on Sunday this morning and I know I am biased but what common sense they talked. It's not usual for the chairman of a football club to be an ex-player (I can't think of another one in this country) and a former player for the club to boot. Manager yes, but not chairman. He's not even from the area: he's Irish, but he has such a passion for Sunderland football club he more or less bought it; or at least put together a group of business men to do it for him. And when they ran out of money he went and found someone else. What a man!

Speaking of passion and what a man, I've got more to say about Booth (oh there's a surprise. Mid season 3 Booth in fact starting from an episode I really enjoy: Mummy in the Maze and then further thoughts from The Intern in the Incinerator.
Booth character analysis: Little game there, Bones - who shows up for the Iraqi Bambi? )

Heh! Manchester United are talking to no one after their defeat to Liverpool this afternoon. Dummies are on the floor all over Anfield.

Well here we are at the end of January, during which I have posted every day for the Nablopomo challenge. I have to say it's been a bit of a struggle at times, but the day has come when I feel proud to have succeeded.

The transfer window closes today and Sunderland so far have lost Darren Bent and now Paulo Da Silva has gone to Real Zaragoza for an undisclosed fee. We have gained Sulley Muntari on loan from Inter Milan to the end of the season and bought Stephane Sessegnon, a Benin midfielder, from Paris Saint-Germain for £5 million. I don't expect any last minute deals so we will enter a critical two months in our season. By the end of them we may be on the brink of qualifying for the Europa League competition.... or not.
Some stuff about The Bullet in the Brain )

Now I should really go to the shops because my watch needs a new battery. At least the sun is out though it is not very warm.

The temperature was 11C this morning and so I went to the doctor's without a hat on.Let us hope I do not pay for such clout casting later. I have fed already. The spaghetti bolognese I made yesterday was so delish I couldn't wait until this evening to eat the rest and so it is in my tummeh nao.

Time to complete what we learn about Booth in Season 2. So let's head to the roundup.
Seeley Booth the man: "You know more about duty and honour than anybody else I know". )

Stand by for Season 3 revelations.

A signing on the cards from Paris St Germain. Say nothing till it happens.
Also England became the first team in the world to win 8 T20 games in a row. Record breakers. Doesn't seem important though when you see what else is happening in Australia. I cannot imagine an area that big being flooded for so long in such a devastating way. My thoughts are with any readers in OZ land who have been affected.

Booth needs to have his time in therapy finished off this week. The season is winding down and focus is once again on Bones, this time in her relationship with Sully, so Booth takes a back seat and I am looking for crumbs again.

An analysis of Agent Seeley Booth: "Observation isn’t just seeing, Dr Wyatt, it’s experiencing. Ideally I'd prefer being inside Booth’s head. You know, seeing and feeling things the way he does. Then maybe I’d understand." )

The final bits of Season 2 will appear in the next edition of Booth A man for All Seasons. After that I feel there will be little to add in Season 3 beyond a refining of some information as the focus becomes more obviously based on the present relationship between Booth and Brennan. Season 4, however, is another matter.

It was a bit like after the Lord Mayor's Show. There I was all reinvested having watched Booth to death for a week and what did we get? Disappointed that's what.

The Bones that Weren't and isn't that an ironic title. Some spoilers. )

By jove it was cold today, but at least the rain stopped. Off to make icons now, though not for this episode.

I've been sick. Literally. This time yesterday I thought I wasn't long for this world. I tell you, heaving of guts is the worst feeling evah! My ribs are still aching, but, the world is back on an even keel and I am alive.
Alive
I tell you.

Cor! You should have seen the frost this morning. The cars outside were covered. I had an inkling because the heating kept switching on all last evening and it hasn't been doing that since March. So, it looks like crisp Autumn days are among us. It looks beautiful today: clear blue skies and bright sunshine, but I bet it's a cold wind. Not that I'm going out to feel it. Bwah ha ha.

So, I was up during the night needless to say Monday to Tuesday and that meant I could watch Cliff Lee stuff the Yankees live and I see they did it again last night. Could the Rangers get to the World Series. I think he deserves it for the great game he pitched which I could appreciate between the head in bucket moments.

Sadly, the Phillies are struggling to make it there too having lost one game at home and then another in San Francisco. Their hitting is letting them down.

I have collected some pictures of players because, frankly, I find them amusing to look at.

First Pitchers and their hirsute deficiencies. i.e. are they all Menonites or can't they grow moustaches?

Hair star is of course TIM LINCECUM. HE HE HE

More beards!

And they're worth millions?

This one's OK

But....

He could have combed those flowing locks.                                Neat beard, straggly hair.

I shall keep an eye out for more to add to this rogues'   gallery. They're all as bad as footballers for spitting though. Neftali Feliz (I think that's his name) could spit for his country and he's only 21.

Anyway, enough sport, especially as it will be interfering with
Bones
from next week (sulk), and on to other televisual delights.

First, a delayed
Ugly Betty
. I have had to switch viewing arrangements to Sunday because it is on at the same time as
Leverage
and
Bones
and I can't view all three, then the repeat is on at 10 which now clashes with
Lie to Me
and
Mad Men
. Meanwhile, Tuesdays? Nothing on. So Sunday it is.
Ugly Betty: The Passion of the Betty or I know what I like )

Now, a much delayed look at last week's Bones which was The Body in/and the Bounty.
Bones review with spoilers and pictures: Observe, Analyze, Deduce! )

Now then, what to have to eat? My appetite is returned and I think the weather calls for comfort food. Panackelty it is then. I have the tape set for a hectic night's viewing as Episode 1 airs tonight along with
Lie to Me, Leverage
and
Mad Men
+ European football> I'll never cope!
