mistletoe: (I am bored)

It was a bit like after the Lord Mayor's Show. There I was all reinvested having watched Booth to death for a week and what did we get? Disappointed that's what.

I'm not going to do much of a review because it wasn't much of an episode. I almost yearned for the Jersey Shore.  Suffice it to say the most interesting aspects this week lay in the case in which Angela did most of the heavy lifting and Hodgins came up with the most interesting use of gold and zinc.

I almost wished Brennan hadn't looked at the x ray because then at least she would still have her sunglasses and we could get onto the good stuff. Can Booth be any more peripheral to a case without putting his back out or shooting a clown?

It all works out in the end, it all works out in the end. I keep repeating that to keep myself going, but it comes to something when I'm waiting for the next episode in the hope that it will be better than the last. I hope I'm not still waiting in January. Hmmph.

By jove it was cold today, but at least the rain stopped. Off to make icons now, though not for this episode.

Can Booth be any more peripheral to a case without putting his back out or shooting a clown? IKR, He could have mailed in his contribution. Maybe he used this case for a chance to reflect on what life would be like as a house-husband; cooking dinners for his love, buying toothbrushes, notbeing by her side while she has surgery..erm???what???
I don't know if you watch promos or not, so I'll just say that next week looks like back to old times bantering and some funny - which we could use, since this week was more about funny strnage than funny haha

Well thank heavens for that. The only episode that has been anything like entertaining for me this season was The Body and the bounty and you know who wasn't in it.

I am notoriously spoiler free, but it may come down to giving that up to at least see when she leaves.

Remember how he sat with Cam for hours and then drew his famous line? That was commitment.

What was with that sunglasses scene? I can imagine Hannah joking around about the present but to have her follow through and then take Brennan's sunglasses? No normal human would do that. I could just about bear this very average episode until that happened! No need!

It was just crass. The idea could have worked if it was humorous joshing, but it wasn't. Hannah is using Brennan. She used her to get the perfect gift for Seeley and now she's taking personal belongings. It'll be jewellery next mark my words. Get her out of here.

See, I don't see it in terms like that. When I see something like that, I see it just as a failure on the part of the writers to get an otherwise nice character right. It was a stupid scene, very poorly coordinated.

I tend to get lost in the characters *g* No one would really do that unless they were a small child or rude. The characterisation was crass.

*hehe* Everyone looks at it differently. I guess I just prefer to blame external factors! :-D But yeah, no one would do that. It gives her an unpleasant side which is unnecessary!

I talk in terms of characters when I like something, I've just realised - and then when a character I like goes wrong, I blame the writers! :P

Yeah, agreed. I can't believe this Booth/Hannah/Brennan stuff. Especially that end! Who would even think about demanding a gift from the person who just basically saved her life?? Seriously? Does she have a brain tumor?

I wish those writers would MOVE ON ALREADY. I want the quality we had in the first few seasons.

Definite loss of quality this season in the writing. They seem to have resorted to soap opera plots this week.

Haha, maybe that'll be next week's dramatic plot shift... HANNAH HAS A BRAIN TUMOUR - oh no! I wouldn't put it past them!
