mistletoeGhana 2 USA 1 after extra time. Only the third African nation to get through to the quarter finals ever. Even though John Mensah is only on loan to Sunderland last season he played and is there. Will England join him? Earlier Uruguay got through against South Korea by the same scoreline. They now play Ghana and I wouldn't like to predict that result.
Meanwhile we have had a power cut and a slight shower. My mam rang to see if I was all right as they had a tremendous thinderstorm that blew all their lights. We only live 25 miles apart. Weird. It is quite dark now, but I can't decide if it's twilight or gathering clouds.
