And the rain it raineth every day....
Sep. 3rd, 2008 05:27 pmYes, the holiday ends as it began: raining. This has been the least summery August since records began in 1929 with a mere 105.2 hours of sunshine accumulated over the whole country, mostly in Aberdeen apparently. So it should come as no surprise to hear that it is currently tossing it down, here and at the cricket in Cardiff. The forecast is for autumnal squalls and gales.
Never mind, Bones starts in the US tonight and in 3 weeks time on Sky. I've never known them be so swift to follow. Normally we would be having to wait until January. May not have to watch on-line, then.
Today is the anniversary of the outbreak of World War 2, Next year it will be 70 years. I wonder if Dame Vera Lynn will still be alive?
As promised, here's some piccies. Not as many as I would have hoped but I forgot to take spare batteries.
( No David Bailey )
The sun has come out, I'm having steak for tea and I just had my hair cut. It must be September.
