Oh there's sad now.
Dec. 9th, 2008 06:48 pmOliver Postgate has died. He was a wonderful man who made programmes for children's television from the fifties up to the eighties. It was very simple stuff, innocent and sweet. I used to love it when I was little. Noggin the Nog was my favourite.
He also made Bagpuss, whom Emily loved, The Pogles of Pogles Wood who had a magic plant that would come up with solutions if fed with elderberry wine, and Ivor the Engine.
I didn't like The Clangers as much but the Soup Dragon made wonderful burbling noises.
Also check this out.
