mistletoe: (After me)

Well, wonders will never cease: we got The Skull in the Sculpture after all. See below for my thoughts.

Kevin the BBC cameraman was in my lesson again. I think he likes me. I could see him as my boy toy. He is cute: tall, skinny, 20something, charming, one of those beards that's an unshaven look. I shall miss him. Anyway,  I'm in a week on Sunday to coach Denise on the art of being a teacher. I wonder if she can crack 4 years of University and 30 years of experience in a Sunday afternoon? Time will tell. And so will I when it happens.

We went to Valentino's for Joani's birthday tea and had a lovely time. I had pollo siciliana for a change. Very tasty it was too. She got some crack!presents including a Zebedee style snowman that made a boing noise when you bounced him. Extremely irritating. She loved it.

Debra came and it was great to see her again and hear the tales of horror at her new school. She still loves it. There's a girl up for a challenge.

Now on to Bones.

Did anyone else feel Booth was surplus to requirement this week?  A couple of interrogations and one ace reminder of threat!Booth when DeLuca came on to Angela. Otherwise? Opening banter with Bones and the rest was ensemble.

Incidentally, it is becoming less and less clear to me why the FBI are involved in some of these cases. What was their jurisdiction this time? Are scrap metal yards some sort of Federal domain? Anyway, good to see Caroline again. I like the way she rolls into town like a tornado scattering all before her and then zooms out again.

I quailed when I saw the execrable Daisy Wick was back. She got on mine the last time. Loved Hodgins' dealings with her and his facial expressions. She was magnificently irritating and I laughed out loud when she broke the skull. No wonder her family was dysfunctional. I would have told her to get out there and then but that would have 'spoiled' the ending such as it was.

As for Angela. at last a return to form. She earned her corn this week and managed the meetings with Sweets very well from an acting point of view. If she wasn't such a nice character I would say she got her come-uppance but I will say instead it was an epiphany.

What else? The case was mediocre although I enjoyed the salivating over the crime scene, Hodgins champing at the bit to use the jronically named jaws of life to get at the dead body. Booth's acceptance of Angela's bisexuality was unexpected and his tale of his favourite aunt and her companion Franny was sweet.

To scrape the bottom of the barrel I wonder if David felt all nostalgic at the mention of pig's blood.

All in all: it didn't totally suck.

Today's word: flagitious guilty of crimes, scandalous

That was pretty much my feelings also. And I forget about my WTF at why the FBI was involved. They've given up all pretense.

Ha, that's great!

I also laughed out loud when Daisy broke the skull. Poor Brennan. I didn't even think about why the FBI was involved in the case. I'm just quite happy to see Booth. :)

Oh I'm not complaining! They could be investigating a game of Clue as long as Booth is in the house.
