happy new year
Jan. 1st, 2008 10:45 amCrapulous may be a forgotten word to some, but is remembered by many on this particular day of the year. In keeping with my New Year's resolution to make the first sentence of the month a bit more interesting I offer you the correct term for the feeling one gets when one has over indulged in the alcoholic beverages and the gluttony.
Of course neither of these has affected me. Indeed, I barely saw the New Year in with Pepsi Max before retiring to the boudoir only to be disturbed by the local pyrotechnics as neighbours sent exploding missiles high into the crepuscular sky. By the way, the BBC coverage of the London fireworks was totally ruined by some philistine called Gethin. Sack him.
Obviously, the word thing has made me Victorian.
Seasons salutations to you all! As a true lady I shall be following the old custom and remaining at home ready to receive gentlemen callers. In the meantime I am preparing a duck with apricot and almond stuffing, and lemon and sultana cheesecake. Any man would be a fool to resist. Of course, nobody knows that is the dinner menu..... All the more for me as I view today's football programme.
Oh go Patriots! Wouldn't it be funny if they won all their games and lost the Superbowl? No, that's wicked.
