As you know I watch football ahenever I can. Earlier this year a young Sevilla player, Antonio Puerts, collapsed and died after a massive heart attack on the pitch. He was 24. I was watching the game on television. Yesterday a Motherwell player, Phil O'Donnell, collapsed and died on the pitch, apparently from a seizure, as Motherwell won their game in the Scottish Premier League. He was 35 and leaves a wife and 4 young children. It brings you up short when young fit men are struck doen in the prime of life and I cannot imagine what that wife and those children must be feeling, particularly at this time of year.
