Day 2 Here come the Argies
Jun. 12th, 2010 06:59 pmFor those who don't know there is no love lost between England and Argentina for a whole raft of reasons. They do have some good footballers though. I worship at the temple of Messi as you know. So I was pleasantly surprised at how smart Maradona looked. I only saw 20 minutes of the game including the Heinze goal. Yes Saturday not a good day for watching the games so I have missed 2. However I am all set for England v USA in about 1/2 an hour. What's the team? See my prediction in an earlier post to see if I am in fact Fabio Capello.
June 1 2010
Predicted team in red
GK: David James, Joe Hart, Rob Green
DEFENDERS: Ashley Cole, Matthew Upson, Jamie Carragher, Ledley King, John Terry, Rio Ferdinand, Glenn Johnson, Stephen Warnock
MIDFIELDERS: Joe Cole, Steven Gerrard, James Milner, Frank Lampard, Aaron Lennon, Shaun Wright-Phillips Gareth Barry, Michael Carrick
FORWARDS: Wayne Rooney, Jermain Defoe, Peter Crouch, Emile Heskey
See that? See? I am 100% correct apart from the injured Rio Ferdinand who is naturally replaced by Ledley King. I predict a 2 - 1 result at 18.53 BST. There I've put it out there. Darren Bent is there in my icon at least.
