Well I'm on the big machine but it's not quite right yet. I've obviously done something silly while trying to sort out the Internet and it just feels I'm not in control. Bookmarks went and haven't reappeared - yet, hopefully. I'm posting manually to Insane journal as well though there is far too much spam for me to cope with over there until things settle down. Still, it's quite jolly in some respects. I might meet new friends and I've got some cuddly already friends there from here. Now if I was only technologically enabled I could post this there too.
Anyway:
There are still miceys. This means death is the only way. Gulp. It's all right letting them out into the garden but the critters have either got an escape route in reverse back into the flat or there's hordes of them. They also crap themselves too much in the humane trap. Yuck!
Durham won the Friends Provident Trophy in spite of the rain and Shane Warne. What's more, they were really good, never looked in danger of being beaten, apart from by the rain and really deserved it because they played as a team - all having something to contribute. I'm really proud of them.
Sunderland are losing key players to injury just when they have to play Liverpool followed by Manchester United. That will test Keane-o's mettle. It's almost as bad as my Fantasy team which has 5 crocked players at the moment, mostly in the defence.
Some very poor refereeing decisions yesterday resulted in Chelsea getting a lucky draw from a penalty that wasn't. The ref also booked the same player twice although later he claimed he didn't. So when you wave a yellow card in a player's face for the second time and the player clutches his head in horror because that means he's been sent off, remember to say you didn't do it to him (Essien, a black player) but to Terry (a white player) a minute earlier and you were just telling Essien to go away while waving your yellow card at him. Incompetence with millions of pounds at stake.
Rafa Benitez was incensed about the penalty and could only repeat 'Unbelievable' in the post match interview. It was the closest I've seen to a Spaniard spluttering. That'll make the return match interesting. There's always controversy with these two teams.
e.t.a. Keith Hackett, referees supremo, has intervened. Mr Styles has apologised to Liverpool admitting that he made the wrong decision and he has been suspended for 1 week. All well and good, but Liverpool still lost 2 points.
I'm HD capable now and while there aren't many HD channels at the moment it is very good quality viewing.
