Stoopid plastic thingy, stoopid fingers

mistletoeI'm cut to ribbons! Well, slightly slashed on a couple of fingers. OK two small bits of skin scraped off. This was caused by the Mysterious Disappearing Knife Affair.
Today I ordered a new HD ready telly, video recorder, cos I'm old fashioned and Sky HD. The telly comes Friday and the Sky men on Sunday. Sunday! They must be keen. All set then for football and Bones which will hopefully be even more crystal clear.
A gathering for gardening occurred on Saturday and mam had brought quiche and cheese and onion flan and things for dinner so we could view football without leaving the couch. At some point in proceedings she put down my one and only sharp utility kitchen knife and could not find it. Nor could I, nor could my dad. So we had to go and buy a new one. The other knife has been with me since I moved in 25 years ago. Sniff.
Anyway, the new knife proved to be extremely sharp which meant on Sunday I scraped not only the skin off the potatoes but off my fingers too.
Needless to say the other knife turned upon Sunday, slightly melted, in the oven, discovered while I was roasting the lamb. Tee hee. Mam was most relieved.
