mistletoeThought Angel would appreciate the Charlton Heston reference, or possibly Homer Simpson would, but I refer to Sky Broadcasting. I know they are actually showing Bones when it would not have been seen on terrestrial telly but why f*@!k about with it? Are they turning into Fox? I mean, we just got going. Got as far as The Girl in Suite 2103 and I was anticipating a pause over Christmas but FEBRUARY?!?! That's TWO MONTHS!!!! Grrrr.
That's ages before I see the blood spattered vest (Brit speak for wife beater) again, or man hugs. Bah! It almost puts a blight on Christmas and my birthday. Will now sulk.
In other news, work is over at long last and we said a tearful farewell to a colleague who has got a new job after 21 years with us. Yes you're in for the long haul when you work at our place.
Unless I squee over the Sunderland result that's probably it pre-Christmas. Going to parents' until Wednesday on Christmas Eve. Happy whatever you celebrate to everyone.
This is in the Uffizi in Florence. The artist is fra Filippo Lippi and the model was a nun, who was also his mistress and had his children. Lippi wasn't much of a monk but as an orphan it was the only home he had until the Medicis set him up in his own studio.
Aah memories. It's never like this now. Damn you global warming! Damn you all to Hell!

The food at the Staff Night out was excellent. It was the best Yorkshire pud I've ever had at a restaurant - and that includes the Yorkshire pud restaurant that used to be in Harrogate where every course was a Yorkshire Pudding of some kind. The dessert featuring raspberry vinegar there was particularly memorable.
I was supposed to be wrapping pressies today and guess what? I've done bugger all. Talk about procrastination.
Sunderland on telly tonight in spite of most of the south of the country being fog-locked and they're at Crystal Palace. Keane-o a bit miffed that the fans have to travel all the way down there on a Christmas weekend. He's growing a beard which looks terrible.
