Blow blow thou winter wind
Dec. 3rd, 2006 07:56 pmBrrrr.
Yes, it's windy like a windy thing. Had the curtains shut by half past three cos too depressing looking at the rain covered windows. I went out on Friday night. I can't remember the last time I did that. Anyway, it was a girls night out and we went to a nearby hotel to see Abba 2.
I drank wine, I sang along, quite tunefully, I got up and danced TWICE and I sent texts. I really enjoyed myself and had to get up early with a hangover, But it was great,
Now the latest on everything.
Now the latest on everything.
The man who put in the kitchen came to mend the cupboard and said he would do the bathroom for less money and with a new suite thrown in. Does Dance of Joy. I have got a new bathrobe for Christmas on the strength of the new shower. So will have to cancel other firm tomorrow and I can't say I'm sorry about it as they just didn't seem interested.
Wednesday was Quiz Night and to be frank I've never made £30 easier. We wiped the floor with the other 9 teams, even scoring nine out of ten on the Sport round. Sadly, the great monument that was the trophy has bitten the dust. It was a sight to behold let me tell you. It seemed to have been cobbled together from several other trophies left over from a working men's club leek show. What a pity.Sunderland have won two games in a row. Apparently yesterday was a scrappy affair but the goal was good.
Mam and I went to the Durham Christmas Fair. It was absolutely packed, too busy to really look at anything properly but most of the stalls were jewellery. Mam got herself a shell necklace which looked really nice. I got a pork pie. I just ate it and it was very nice. I need to get on with the Quizmail now. This may very well be the last one as it's getting very difficult to find the time to fit it in. Less of a treat more of a chore really.
I also have to wrap Trevor's present. I got him for Secret Santa. I got him a money box inter alia because he is notoriously tight with money.
