The Chair

I have a new computer chair. It took three of us to put it together. That's one base, one back, one seat, 1 stand, 2 arms and 12 screws.  2 hours to get the screws in with an Allen key and a great deal of sweat. We then stopped for lunch - out at the local pub. It was delicious. I had loin of pork in a cream and leek sauce with veg that was omnomnom. Dad had panfried salmon in a prawn butter sauce that he liked so much he borrowed a veg serving spoon to demolish every drop. Mam had steak and Ale pie with chips. We were completely full.

Came back to finish off chair and it wasn't right. We had screwed the seat to the base stand thing backwards. That was resolved and then dad figured out how to move the back to a comfortable position. They left after 4 o'clock with the old chair. I am now sitting in the new chair totally relaxed.

FA Cup weekend this week so the lads are having a rest because we're out already. Just as well with our injuries. Manchester  Utd are fielding a depleted team but still beating Southampton. Blackpool got fined this week by the FA for fielding a 'weakened team' in a league game. They lost though and United are currently winning anyway. So they should: they are playing a team 2 leagues below them. These rules are silly when you have a 25 man squad to pick from. Who decides whether they should play, the club manager or the governing body?

In other news it is cold with hard frost. It was so cold during the night I woke up. Had to snuggle up to get warm. That is all.
