LMAO I haven't watched yet but two out of the LOTS of people I've heard discussing it liked it and the rest... didn't. LOL. I had way low expectations of this one from the promo alone but shall set them even lower and perhaps I won't be disappointed ;)
Brennan was a little painful, wasn't she? I mostly winced through all the guido stuff...
But OMG the other stuff with Brennan, Booth and Hannah. So much subtext I think I need to have a think about it before reacting and BB at the end - DB just played that whole scene so well - you could SEE him being happy to have the present but aware that it was Bones that knew him well enough to get it and following her out to the hall... that man has the most expressive eyes. Wow.
I agree. I was mad that was buried by trivia for 95% of the other stuff that went on. For Booth's home to be invaded by the women in his life and Hannah made that happen while it was obvious he wanted to say something to Brennan.... *meep*
I LOLed at her. I kind of adore Brennan when she goes all childlike and get silly.
B+B makes me want to cry right now but OMG I love it so much. I only wish (as I just said to Sara) that I was marathoning this season - because watching it in slow motion is hard!!!!
Curious minds want to know. What made it CRAP. The science? The setting? Brennan's anthropological assessment of the Shore? The fact that Booth asked Hannah to move in?
I'm not a scientist, nor an anthropologist, nor from the Shore, so I can't comment on any of that. I can say that Bones sometimes paints the broad strokes and as a result the comedy can go OTT. However, I didn't find that in this episode. I thought it actually delivered a pretty decent parody.
I don't really want to think about it further, but I can't resist a curious mind. lol
What was the purpose? How were we moved on? I understand what Jersey Shore is about and it is the sort of programme I avoid like the plague. It was so invasive here it could not be avoided.
As far as I can tell Shore already is a parody so what is the point of parodying a parody? Brennan's enthusiasm for it was beyond annoying, it was parodying her and I do not appreciate that. Could Angela just for once not say OK and smile indulgently when Brennan misunderstands something like reality TV and actually explain or Brennan will never move on. This was like her hiphop Man in the Wall faux pas only worse.
Why are people disliking Booth's current lifestyle choices? He said he was moving on and whether he really has or not, he wants to make all the right moves for that to happen. So come on in Hannah. (I didn't actually object to her in this episode)
And just when I was cheering the reduction of interns up pops another one. Depressed me.
So this was an episode I can live without. Sweets must say something direct to Booth soon because his hints are not working.
Your journal would tell me that you are not likely someone to dump on Booth (lol), but I'm glad you clarified. I also agree with the choices Booth is making, given the cards he has been dealt.
I've never had a problem with rotating interns because I like what each of them individually brings. Having said that, I did find Fisher a little weak in this episode.
I see your point about Angela and Brennan. I think Angela just took the path of least resistance. It was just easier to smile and nod than to spend alot of energy trying to get Brennan to understand. And Brennan would have resisted understanding because she doesn't like to be wrong.
I didn't have a problem with parodying Brennan (I guess this is where we differ), since that is not the overall focus of the show and affords ED the opportunity to play for laughs.
OK, won't make you think about it any longer. Would like to friend you, as I like your thinky-thoughts, even when they disagree with mine.
I laughed a lot (but then I needed to after the day I had) :(
And then I felt sad (at the end).
I am thinking - much like season 2 from when Sully arrived - that season 6 will play better as a marathon after the event. [I hated s2 Sully time but love it now watching back].
A Coinky dink indeed. :D Hehehe = let's start a language called Caroline!!
*icon snap-ish* <- the booth we love, not the silly douchey booth hiding in a relationship he doesn't really want with (a not-quite-bones-but-almost-bones) Hannah.
You know, Show has left me feeling very emotionaly spent. (This may also have to do with the copious amounts of sinus medication I've been ingesting all week, but...) There were parts of last night that I really really loved. And that i think were necessary. But there were parts (i.e., the case and over-the-top-I'm-so-in-love-Booth) that just made me cringe. I think I'm just waiting for that episode where I go, Oh hey, Show is BACK, baby. Characters, case, and all.
I am about to make icons to soothe the savage breast. My sofa is full of lovely cushions and I have toasted teacake. We are good to go. Onward and upward!
