. That's how many were at the SoL today and I bet, apart from Man Utd and Chelsea, that was the biggest crowd of the day too. Just can't stop me or SAFC apparently.
Very impressively they scored in the first two minutes thanks to Jonny Evans our lad on loan from Manchester.
That's his first goal in senior football.

Stern John got the 2nd - in the last minute again.

That's what we want: players that can bomb on for the whole game. We are now, however temporarily, SECOND. That's automatic promotion. Of course Birmingham can go back in there tomorrow, but they are playing their derby rivals WBA. When I started this journal Keane had just been appointed and we hadn't won a game. Now it's unbeaten in 2007 and once you get a run like that going it's like an avalanche: impossible to stop. I know because we've done that before when we went up with the record points total. That's not possible this time but at this stage I'd just like them to go up.
Now, as for the Premiership I just saw the biggest argument for goal-line technology where Blackburn lost a game to a dodgy penalty and the most ludicrous decision or series of decisions by officials that resulted in a wrongly awarded winner to West Ham who are fighting relegation. I don't care how unlucky they've been in other games it was just plain wrong. The reasons are as follows:
a handball led to the ball arriving at Zamora's feet.
His shot hit Teves on the goal-line in an offside position
The ball did not cross the line.
The officials missed all three infringements  and the linesman gave the goal. He was the same linesman who gave the penalty.
To add insult to injury his name was Devine. Talk about intervention! Blackburn also had a player sent off in the 5th minute of injury time after he was pushed so he handled the ball. Disappointingly, this was the same referee who handled the Arsenal Chelsea fracas so well. Maybe the torrential rain got him.

Shopping today and the town was packed. At last I got some new clothes; a very nice short-sleeved lavender coloured blouse, and a rather chic black one with long sleeves.

It is now windy like a windy thing and freezing. A footy match was abandoned in Scotland due to bad weather. Don't know if it was rain or snow but something is on the way.
