mistletoeHey ho. I've been reading what various people have to say about shipping in the Buffyverse (see germaine_pet ) and all I can add is chacun a son gout.
As for other things, the chief reason for today's icon of choice is (you've guessed it) Tuesday evening's frolics. Also no new Bones this week. How do Americans follow series when they keep stopping them for other series or sports? (shrugs)
Anyhoo, when I left for the quiz, Sunderland were winning at Birmingham and apparently playing them off the park. Sadly the lad Brum bought from Brentford after they had knocked us out of the Cup thanks to his goals, came on and scored in the 90th minute. DJ Campbell. Bastard.
But,,, that's not all. At the quiz we had a Peter-ism of grandiloquent (grandiose?) proportions. Round 6 of 8 Siblings. Going on reasonably well apart from Rajeev Ghandi's sister's name when we get to q. 10: 'Which woman married two English monarchs who were brothers?' Now I count myself pretty knowledgeable on English History and Pat teaches the damn thing but neither of us could come up with brothers who had married the same woman beyond Arthur and Henry marrying Katherine of Aragon and one of them didn't become king. Not surprising when we hear the answer Peter had: Catherine Parr. Now she did marry 4 times but Peter thought one of her husbands was Henry VII. 'That's Henry VIII's father!' we called. Anyway - he got rather brusque after that and the evening was ruined. We won.
