Sporting success
Feb. 11th, 2007 11:23 pmTold you Colly was good. England won something. Wheee! Why did they name Ponting Man of the Series? Colly scored 2 centuries and 70, took wickets, catches and did run outs. He won the trophy virtually single-handed for England but Ponting gets the home vote. Humph.
Sunderland won! I watched the highlights this morning and all you could hear was 'Keane-o' from the crowd which is quite an accomplishment considering they were playing in Plymouth. That's over 400 miles away. That may not sound much to some but it's the other end of the country to us. Anyway, the new lad Stokes came on and scored as did Connolly. So we're in 7th, level on points with Cardiff. Could go above them as we play Southend next. I'm getting worryingly excited.
The snow has all gone. I left thick stuff here and went down to the coast on Saturday where there was torrential rain all day but when I came home there was still snow and a snowman outside. That's all that is left now. Mam and me went to B & Q to get some shampoo holder tray thingy that doesn't need to be screwed to the wall. We also got some hooks so I can hang up my super furry dressing gown and David's calendar. Actually, this year's Boreanaz calendar is pretty poor with some really old pics from early Angel promos. He looks nothing like that now.
We also got a new light fitting called Mosaic which has a similar design and colouring to the border tile. I was very pleased with it. The man is coming to finish the tiles, lay the floor covering and fix up the light at the end of this week. Then it's half term. Huzzah!
