mistletoeToday has been airish - cool windy damp. I imagine all our American friends are checking their turkeys and being grateful. I would be grateful this year if Mr Obama proves the fresh broom he promises to be. It's worth being grateful just to see the back of Mr Bush. How we have survived this long with him in charge says a lot about the support mechanisms of government.
Further to my pondering about lucky 8 mentioned a few weeks ago, I see Obama is the 44th president. In numerology you have to add numbers over 9 together. 4+4 = 8. Spooky. Elected in '08, coincidence? The auguries look good.
Quiz is here, I got one wrong though I researched Cleopatra's Needle very carefully and it was not the answer they wanted. Where was it found? My answer does not agree. Last of the pictures this month and they end with some very pleasing Dutch art of the 17th century I shall enjoy looking at that although I know three of the four. I might put them up for your delectation.
