Love, love, love Secretary. It reminds me of an assistant in our office. She's not as beautiful as Cordy, but would be just as willing to use a deadly weapon.

That seems to have gone very well for representing the character. Cordy was such a strong person before the falling out. What a pity. I hope your assistant isn't called on to defend the office too frequently.

Since I'm only catching these episodes years later, I have no knowledge of Angel gossip. Was there a reason behind Charisma's departure?

She cut her hair without permission. Seriously. She also got pregnant, which didn't sit well with Mr Whedon. Can't trust these married women. That is the accepted story though there were tales that they could take the character no further.

If you watch the show the deterioration of the character does start from when she got her hair cut. I believe Mr Whedon was a very controlling boss and if anyone went out and did something independent it was frowned upon. Mind you, it does sound ridiculous to assassinate a character just to get back at the actress. She never made it to Season 5 anyway.

Wow, I figured there was something strange to it b/c her character just seemed to go wonky. I miss her on S 5 (although I wouldn't have missed the S4 version of her), but I am enjoying return of Spike. I liked the "good-bye" episode they did with Cordelia. Very fine of the actress to come back and do that.

Well if you read the interviews at the time, not being in Season 5 was a shock to Charisma, though she hoped Cordy's character would get a wrap up of her story. She certainly did, although I thought the show was unrecognisable by that stage. (;
