Anthony Stokes 93rd minute winner. We never do things simply.
In other news: Liam's Chocolate Fireguards are still top of their league and doing the same in the group stages. I am quite chuffed with my fantasy team then, in spite of a horrendous injury list.
Today mother and me went to Durham for the Christmas Market. I noticed the Park and Ride was pretty full as I came passed so we set off without delay and coffee. Just as well we did, because there weren't many spaces left when we got there. Anyway, Durham was heaving with plenty of street entertainment in the form of Esh and Bearpark Colliery brass band and various student groups scattered about singing or playing carols. It was great.
The marquee on the Cathedral green was heaving but we managed to see around things pretty well. Some lovely jewellery, knitted things and carved wooden things stood out though we didn't buy any of them and some very nice medieval style ceramic tiles in authentic brown and cream. They were £12 each though. Needless to say all we did buy was some Voakes pork pies, as usual, and some Northumbrian Chevington cheese, which will be part of my secret Santa gift because the cheese is made with Jersey cow milk and the recipient used to live in Jersey. Other purchases for that included a bag of wine gums as she is well known for her drinking and we had a £5 limit; a glass that lights up and a grow your own coffee bean bush. I will put a packet of paracetamol in too so that should be funny.
On down to the pub for lunch and the Poundland for the aforementioned silly gifts and Savers for some cough medicine for me as I had a shocking night's sleep until I found some old cough medicine in my cupboard that knocked me out for 8 hours. Back up for the bus via a jewellery shop where there was a nice bracelet for me which unfortunately didn't fit right. The car park was chocker when we got back with cars all over the paths wherever they could get. Then up home in the twilight. So quite a good day all round.
