Shopping horror
Oct. 24th, 2007 05:21 pm OK, does anybody actually work in this country? The shopping trip was a nightmare of epic proportions. Everywhere was packed with people, most of whom had babies in buggies or grannies in wheelchairs and an apparently infinite amount of time. I? Was a woman on a mission.Suffice it to say Bones (and what a disappointment that was) downloaded in less time than it took me to discover that manual slicers no longer exist. I went to all the big stores and Lakeland Plastics. Nothing but crowds and very helpful salesladies.
Our holiday firm phoned again to confirm the flight times from the North East to Heathrow just before I set out so at least there was progress on that front.
This cold thingy has still not resolved itself into anything beyond a dry throat, the occasional sneeze and general malaise. Typical. Let's not be actually ill during a holiday, just generally 'off''.
It's almost dark, not even 6 o'clock and the clocks haven't gone back. How gloomy it is.
Bones was filler. How can they do a filler episode 4th in a new series? Dischuffed now. Not even sightings of DB were enough to sustain much interest. Bah! (And I haven't had one of those for ages.)
