mistletoeYou know I must be getting old. I used to lap this up: now I'm a nervous wreck. This has been a very long 90 minutes in my life, The lads must have nerves of steel cos I'm a gibbering crazy person. Pat and I have been texting back and forth for most of the match but she can't stand it any more and is watching Have I got News For You. I am praying and I have lit a candle with 20 minutes to go.
There are times when I doubt my sanity and this is one of them. I gave this lot up you know. I let my season ticket go two relegations ago and I still can't let go. They will tantalise with some success and then pull a nerve tingler like this. What was needed was a two goal cushion and a chance to relax. Now, thanks to some poor refereeing decisions it's a white knuckle ride for another 16 minutes. Just had a shot. Wide. Now considering a Hail Mary and I'm not even Catholic.
In other news, I have so much work to do this weekend it doesn't bear thinking about.

Free kick. 2 more minutes and the crowd are whistling. Another free kick. Playing it in the corner now and a yellow card for a Burnley player. And another! Now playing 95th minute. Won!!!! WE'RE TOP 1 GAME TO GO
