In other news cop a load of this:



So the cast is off and I'm able to get upstairs with hovering ambulance men in the background. Best thing so far was sticking my foot in a bowl of hot soapy water and then rubbing on baby oil. Aahh!

I now have a plate holding my leg together with 5 screws. I wonder if I'll set off airport alarms? Anyway, I'm relearning how to walk which currently involves leaning on the walker and making slightly better progress than just hopping. Physio consists of waving my foot in the air in clockwise and anti-clockwise directions and working my quads. I have another appointment in 4 weeks time and I aim to use those four weeks very lazily.
