Help mah boab!
Nov. 22nd, 2008 08:21 pmas Oor Wullie* would say. Today has been freezing - literally. I got up early, for a Saturday, and opened the curtains about 7.30. There was a nasty cloud coming. By 7.45 there was a covering of snow. However, it soon stopped and the thermometer hovered at 32F or below for the rest of the day. The forecast is for blizzards tomorrow. We'll see.
To the shops as usual and we checked out the prices of laptops as I have decided to get one for Christmas, probably. Then I can get a new phone for my birthday instead with the money my dad always gives me. Must go on line to compare. My mam wanted a new food processor at Argos but as it would be awkward to carry we decided to go there last. When we got to the door they were closed due to a power cut. As they do all their business by computer that was understandable.
*Oor Wullie is a cartoon character from the Scottish paper The Sunday Post. He can usually be found sitting on a bucket and as well as the phrase in the subject line he says 'Jings!' a lot. He gets an annual in alternate years, the other year being taken by The Broons.
