Well here I am as well on DW and contemplating the Thursday before Christmas without Bones, Rookie Blue and Harry's Law. Basically, all of my viewing is off for the holidays. The Downton Abbey: Behind the scenes show last night was basically just a recap of the two series, no doubt to capture new audience for the 2 hour Christmas Special about which they were extremely coy. Gave absolutely nothing away. It was interesting to see Julian Fellowes however, and realise he used to be an actor. Now he is a Lord. I am now going to try to make a graphic and post it via IE9 while I try to work out why Firefox is being an a**e.

Have mince pies courtesy of a happy traveler (from Harrods) so shall have to watch the Christmas special and possibly the behind the scenes show for suitable accompaniment.

Indubitably pining though I did see that the Matthew dancing scene was with Mrs Patmore!! And the actress who plays Daisy is just like Daisy in real life so that was sweet.

I just had a mince pie myself; not from Harrods though just the local supermarket, but it was still delish. I wish we didn't just get them at Christmas.

Mrs Patmore?! The plot thickens... Or maybe it was in the spirit of Christmas and normal rules do not apply, like the British-German football in the beginning of WW1. I like Daisy (the DA one.)

You could always make your own, including the mince meat, I have.

I think it was the staff/family Christmas party because Carson was dancing with Lady Mary. I didn't see the Dowager Lady Maggie Smith dancing though.

No mince pies are definitely seasonal like pancakes which I only make on Pancake Tuesday, but not like hot cross buns which are now available all year round. Strange that.

The seasonal limitation probably heightens their desirability. As nice as hot cross buns are, all year round availability is wrong.

I once had toasted slices from a loaf of the hot cross buns variety a rainy summer day (Wimbledon season, think it always rains then...) and it was delicious!
