Weeds

I have a small garden but it is still a constant battle to keep weeds at bay. So I fail. Here's some nice things in among the weeds.

<- weeds and a hydrangea

< weeds and a wind damaged pot

<- weeds, grass and lobelia and something red in a pot.

<-weeds grass and the other side of that pot.

Great Britain won more gold and silver medals. Mo Farah became the first Briton to do the 10000 and 5000 metres double. Yay. England finished off Pakistan in short order in the cricket this morning. Paul took 2 very good catches and Jimmy Anderson took 11 wickets in the match. Sunderland won 2-1 yesterday in a pre season friendly.

Well I planted the pots and that's about all I did there. The hydrangea was well planted about 5 years ago by my mother from a cutting. Strangely it is considerably darker than hers. Must be the bone meal we put in round the roots.

UGH I hate weeds!!!! But your flowers are very pretty!!!!

I have also decided because of your musings that Cricket is HOT. and that DB should play cricket. Preferably nekkid.

;)

Hee! It is now pouring with rain so the weeds are multiplying e'en now.

DB should play cricket. Preferably nekkid.

LOL That would be extremely dangerous. The cricketers wear a box when batting, which I believe is called a cup in America, to protect the family jewels from high flying balls. I think nekkid baseball would be good though.

I love your hydrangeas.

I just went to the gardening center for some new flowers this past weekend as my squashes finally succumbed to the Southern US heat wave. Lovely coneflowers and a few coleus plants.

How lovely. I like the idea of coneflowers, which we don't have here, and I used to grow coleus as an indoor plant.

Here we are on the 1st August and it is dark, cool and raining. O damn you British weather.
