I really disliked those episodes for all the reasons you listed (and a bunch that you didn't -Zach!). Booth's characterization was totally out of left field, I thought. Brennan was thoroughly unreasonable regarding Booth's "death". I understand that she was upset and this was her way of dealing with it, but that excuse only goes so far.
