Final installment today and sorry for the delay but I'm back at work and had a lot to do.


In other news I've just watched Queen starring Helen Mirren and I can honestly say that is the first Oscar winning performance I've enjoyed since Gregory Peck in To Kill A Mockingbird. The film was very good although seeing the farmer from Babe as Prince Philip was a bit strange. Alistair Campbell was presented as a conniving git and Cherie Blair was a cow. I enjoyed Sylvia Sims as a lush Queen Mother and was pleased to see a lack of exploitation of the boys. The only person involved to play themselves was Earl Spencer. I recommend it.

OOOooo Friday 13th is upon us. I'm superstitious but I can still type with my fingers crossed. It's unlucky for Ireland who are currently getting thrashed by Australia. Men against boys poor souls. It's not worth giving a score because it's changing by the minute. 12 for 4 anyway at the moment.

Off to the shops now to put some pics in for developing from my other camera and to get a new watch battery. Tomorrow: Good Friday and the journey home.

Is it just me or do I spend most of my time at the dentist? I was there again today to re-enact that scene from The Boys from Brazil and have my mouth seen to by the seriously sadistic hygienist. I have to drink carefully now. 

Anyway, on with the show as we hit Wednesday of last week. 


Up to question 88 on the quiz. Man U won the second leg 7 - 1 last night by the way. Only 24 arrests. They now have to play Milan. Oh dear. Italy again. Liverpool play Chelsea again in the other semi. Chelsea have not conceded a goal in the Premier league since they played Liverpool and the last time they played in Europe Chelsea were robbed. Should be a cracker!

Well here we are with a selection of pictures that everyone takes in Rome. Apologies for that and the size of this. 
First day we got a Metro pass and took to the train. It was surprising how close things were to each other. Although we still walked a fair bit it wasn't as bad as London. There will be more later.

Well, not long now and I'll be off to Rome. Squee. Today was cold and grey but I went to the shops and got a digital camera, batteries and charger and picture card for 412 pics. That might do. I also got a new hat in case it's sunny for a fiver and two cornish pasties which gave me indigestion that I've still got. Urp.

I did not go to the supermarket as promised to myself but the list is done. I have made no attempt to pack or even made the list of what to take. Is lazy.

Yesterday we had whodunnit day with Year 9. A murder mystery was staged over 4 lessons. It was good but I am v. tired as a result. We went to the Italian after that and I had the best cozza al vino blanco ever as a starter followed by spag bol. Was stuffed.

No pain! Well that is an unexpected outcome. Obviously wisdom tooth had had its day. So, all downhill from here then. Off to quiz shortly even though it's last of the month. Today we checked out places to go and things to do in Rome. Not long now.
