Sundaaaay

So far this World Cup is lacking some excitement. Currently, Serbia are playing Ghana and we have a Sunderland player on the pitch, our injury prone John Mensah.

Also in his honour the National Anthem as a Serbian gets sent off. That's two in one day.

e.t.a. Ghana have been given a penalty for a hand ball.  1 nil. (Gyan) What a beautiful penalty. 7 minutes to go.

Elsewhere I have been viewing one or two things on telly apart from the football.
My current televisual crack with vague spoilers for Glee, Castle, White Collar, Lie To Me )

Today is wet (again) and not very warm. I have delayed making dinner until this evening, so I could watch both matches which turned out to be not very good. At least I knew a few of the Ghana players. Mensah got through the whole game, which is more than he does for Sunderland. I still hope we can sign him permanently. They were delighted to win the game, the first African team to win a World Cup finals game on African soil. Next tonight is Germany v Australia. Heaven knows how that will turn out.
